"God, how I wish I'd taken some moments of my life--the good moments--and pinned their wings flat under strips of paper on cedar mounting boards to dry. Then, in moments like this, I might be able to look at their pretty preservedness, reach out and touch it even, just to know something good had existed, to have the proof..."John Nichols, The Sterile Cuckoo
"When the impulses which stir us to profound emotion are integrated with the medium of expression, every interview of the soul may become art. This is contingent upon mastery of the medium." Hans Hofmann

I really cannot make eggplant parmesan. It's a good thing that you make one hell of a PB&J.
My dearest friend Frank and I travelled around Baton Rouge yesterday to discover locked churches, moved galleries, and closed crawfish stands. We did have a few successes that included the discovery of saved yellow buildings, healthy smoothies, and a expensive candle. We also hung out on Frank's front porch and enjoyed the absolutely perfect weather. Front porches are always a success. I need a front porch in my life. Dream big.

"It's hard to stay mad, when there's so much beauty in the world. Sometimes I feel like I'm seeing it all at once, and it's too much, my heart fills up like a balloon that's about to burst...And then I remember to relax, and stop trying to hold on to it, and then it flows through me like rain and I can't feel anything but gratitude for every single moment of my stupid little life."American Beauty
