okay. i'm not exactly the biggest follower of the fashion, but these socks jumped out at me on a crowded page of marie claire ---> IMPRESSIVE! i can't exactly afford dior (totally due to temporary unemployment, usually i'm head to toe dior) so let the knock off search begin! 

oh & cross your fingers that they don't make me look 5, but instead! totally fabulous.

Roomie's Art Show

Roommate Rachael had an art show at Loa last week. Loa is quite swanky, her art is fabulous, and I had a blast. Rachael studied print making at LSU, but also paints and such. I used to go visit her in the print making lab when we were in school together and it is turning out to be a treat to get to watch her paint at our apartment. I know that she is dying for the weather to cheer up so that she can take her easel outside and paint on our balcony.

On unemployment...

"This is the best thing to wear for today, you understand. Because I don't like women in skirts and the best thing is to wear pantyhose or some pants under a short skirt, I think. Then you have the pants under the skirt and then you can pull the stockings up over the pants underneath the skirt. And you can always take off the skirt and use it as a cape. So I think this is the best costume for today. "

vanity table

So! I no longer live by myself, but with TWO new fabulous roommates. This new companionship means more girl talk and fun, but less bathroom time and space so I'm working on a vanity table for my new bedroom. I already have a dark table similar in shape to these three so here is my inspiration:
